5. day – theatre group

Here came a new woman to the theatre group tommorow in the evening – Vesela, bulgarian beauty, who usualy leads theatre workshops at Lanterna. Unfortunately she had something else to do somewhere else, so Peter and Pavel took her place.

You can imagine, how it is to come into divided job. May be that’s the reason, why did theatre leaders have so long meetings. They had to discuss new strategy, change few things here and there, rearrange scenes, etc.

But as I heard, everything goes on well and their performance is going to be ready for Friday evening. And Simona (one of czech actors, its her first play, but we’ll certainly here about her) told me that it won’t even be so heavy-hearted piece, because with the new leader they were able to find some fun in their play. You know, once your name is Vesela, you can’t help yourself (this funny remark is only for czech speaking).

4. day – theatre group

In theatre group they started with brainstorming thing. They had evolved a short story on the stage with a man sitting in his chair and contemplating his life and than they said their ideas about it. And they was quite heavy and serious ideas by some theatre leute – loss in family, death, eternity, cycle of life and death, alienation, … Wow. Im starting to be worried about them, they are turning too philosohical. And philosophy, its not good for your body, nor your soul.

I was rather surprised by them. They still sat, and talked and no action. Where are they, these happy, shiny, theatre actors. Did they turn into zombies? Oh I hate these bloody vampires.

But fortunately the first round of vampire game ended in the morning and they were all reanimated, came back to live and kicked another three beutiful gigs again – one about family, one about friendship and the third about … As I heard theatre leaders were very satisfied and they are quickly heading towards their final performance. Wish them luck!

3. day – theatre group

Theatre people started with veeery veery interesting thing called charakter development. It is like you have to look into yourself and find out what character you are in theatre world. You could see strange clothed people lurking around the place doing strange things like shouting, sitting, begging, crying and so on. WHAT A FUN!

They spiced their work too with several exercises, pantomima gigs and so on.

In the second part of the day, they had special task. To create short gig on this theme: “Tommorow is today, with the difference, that it is tommorow”. And what do you think, they really did a short performances. I saw one of them and it was simply great – for unskilled people just great.

It was like 5 people waking in the morning having breakfast, doing things, one of them riding a horse, falling down and losing her memory. Than waking again – and the same story unfolds – ad infinitum. GREATYST. (hey i like my english )

2. day – theatre group

Theatre workshop is always the best, because it is all about action, expression and emotions. You have to move your body, you don’t sit and think like designers and you don’ t need to know how to play or sing like musicians.

In the first day of their work theatre people started with basics. They learned how to walk, how to talk and pronounce, how to express basic feelings and situations.

Because it looks like they are all extremely talented things went smoothly and they was able (thanks to terrific translaters Monika and Marta of course) to create their first more compicated pieces after the lunch. Petr and Pavel (famous polish theatre brothers I happen to sleep with in one room) chose for them notoriously known themes from greek mythology, namely Sysifos works, Trojan horse, Achilles heel and Pandoras box. Everybody was excited about it, as I heard.
